Introduction

This privacy policy covers Aten Security, Inc. and affiliated companies. Questions should be directed to privacy@aten.security.

The policy explains what "Personal Information" is collected through aten.security, how it's used, and when it may be shared with third parties. Personal Information is defined as data identifying or relatable to an individual, excluding publicly available government records, de-identified or aggregated data, and information protected under HIPAA or Gramm-Leach Bliley Act.

Over the past 12 months, Aten may have collected:

How We Disclose Your Personal Information

Aten may share Personal Information with service providers (IT, marketing, analytics), business partners (banks, auditors, law firms), affiliates, legal/government authorities, entities involved in business transfers or restructuring, and authorized third parties per user direction.

Security and Retention

Aten uses commercially acceptable means to protect data, though internet transmission cannot be guaranteed 100% secure. Information is retained only as long as necessary for stated purposes, legal requirements, or regulatory obligations.

Cookies and Tracking

Cookies collect anonymous usage data. Users may refuse cookies through browser settings — note that blocking cookies may impair website functionality. Aten does not respond to browser "do not track" signals but offers interest-based advertising opt-out options via networkadvertising.org and aboutads.info.

Transferring Personal Data

Personal data may be transferred, processed, or stored outside the collection country. Currently, Aten holds data within the United States. Aten implements legally-allowable safeguards regardless of transfer location.

California Privacy Disclosures

This section addresses California residents under CCPA and CPRA. Over the past 12 months, Aten has not sold or shared Personal Information for targeted advertising.

Your rights as a California resident:

  • Right to Access/Know — request collected data categories, sources, and disclosure recipients (twice yearly)
  • Right to Correct — request correction of inaccurate Personal Information
  • Right to Delete — request deletion of collected Personal Information
  • Right to Opt Out — opt out of sale or sharing (Aten does not sell or share as legally defined)

Submit requests via privacy@aten.security. Aten responds within 45 days.

Children's Privacy

Aten does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without prior verifiable parental consent. Report suspected underage submissions to privacy@aten.security.

Policy Changes

Aten may modify this Privacy Policy at its discretion or per legal changes. Continued website use after changes constitutes acceptance.
